Customs Recordal

Ships bearing goods infringing on registrations that are recorded with Customs may be refused to dock in the U.S.

Both U.S. trademark registrations on goods as well as copyright registrations may be recorded with the U.S. Customs and Border Protection to prevent the importation of counterfeits. Samples of seized counterfeit goods may be obtained to investigate the exporter and importer to sue for infringement.
